Baby showers are BIG in the States and are getting BIGGER here in NZ too!
Traditionally, a friend would have a baby then everyone would show up with gifts, dinners ect while getting to ooohhhhh-aaaaahhhhhh over the little bundle.
I know that lots of people think baby showers are unnecessary but i happen to DISAGREE!
Not only do i LOVE any excuse for a party but i think the shower adds to the excitement of the upcoming arrival, lets the Mum (or parents if Dad is invited!) know that she is LOVED and SUPPORTED and is usually a HUGE help in providing for ALL THAT STUFF (!!!!!!!!) that little people need!
The shower doesn’t need to be extravagant or expensive but it does need to be FUN and reflect that the Mum(& Dad) and Baby are the focus… NOT the person throwing the party!
So, ideas…
There are millions out there so here are a few of the FREE ones… (i told you this blog definitely has FRUGAL in its discription!!)
You don’t need to be creative or rich to incorporate these into the day… usually just need some card, scissors and access to a printer.
